Good service and delicious sandwich on fresh baked bread. Definitely worth stopping by. And if you have a sweet tooth, try the cookies.

Got an almond croissant and iced coffee and they were both spectacular! Very nice people as well. Would definitely revisit before I leave the bronx area.

I lived in Scaglione's neighborhood from 1973 to 1981. It was my favorite bread bakery then. They made a dense and flavorful bread. Hand made in those days. You had to come early to make sure they didn't sell out of your choices. When an article about Scaglione's appeared in the Post, praising them, the owner was furious because his regulars weren't able to get their breads , due to all the new customers from the article . He said that he made a limited number from his recipes, only so many they could make. These days, they still meet the local demand. I almost couldn't find the store, as they currently have no sign up, just breads in the window and signage on the door. We went in, the place smelled great. They still wrapped my loaves in paper. Old school all the way. I bought two loaves and a pound of breadsticks to take home. Not expensive. Friendly service too! The breads were dense, deeply flavorful and crusty. You could taste the great flour and yeast. The breadsticks were baked to perfection, crunchy, releasing grainy goodness as you chew. It's nice that you can enjoy this excellence today. Rare...

Excellent Italian deli w the most reliably tasty fresh ingredients for sandwiches. Always pleasant and kind. Been going here for 9 years, and so consistently good and well priced. Adding the menu to make it easier for those who want to call in their orders. Really recommend the #3 sandwich

I've lived in this neighborhood for about a year. I just discovered this place a couple months ago. Must have walked passed it a thousand times. I went in for coffee a few times, the DD up the street turns me off. Anyways, I am now in love with this little cafe/deli. Today I decided to get a breakfast sandwich (with my usual coffee). I am always skeptical about neighborhood deli's. I am a very picky eater and will starve all day before I eat just anything. I always look for the cook/server to have a smile. I figure if they are smiling they like what they do n if they like what they do everything they touch comes out good. When I walked to the back the cook greeted me with a very warm smile... I'm already impressed. I asked for a regular egg n cheese, no meat sandwich. Boy was I happy when I got home and unwrapped my sandwich. The roll was nice n soft, the eggs were perfectly cooked n seasoned. I'm a happy camper knowing I can come here for a great breakfast when I don't feel like cooking myself. Next time I'll take a picture. If you live around here or just passing through don't pass this place up. The only thing better than my breakfast is their customer service, very warm inviting environment.

I really like Scaglione Bros Bakery & Deli. I have zero complaints fair prices, absolutely worth for what you get. Every single thing we had here was spectacular. The staff was very welcoming and service is perfect. What an amazing find Scaglione Bros Bakery & Deli is.

Best Italian Bread On The Planet, made fresh daily. You Go Early enough the bread is warm right out of the oven. First Joe Sr Baked all the bread Now Joe Jr is the baker Same Bread Same Great Quality.......been going there since I was little with my Dad and Grandfather......

I love Scaglione ! Everything is delicious and fresh! It's been a Family Business for years. They have kept it a quality business. Definitely a place I frequent often. Their high round bread made fresh is phenomenal, as are their scones, soups chicken cutlets! All their sandwiches are freshly made . I was born in this area and Scag's is Definitely a great place. try it ,you won't be disappointed!.

Ahyyeeeeeee fogetaboutit!!!!!! Great new find for us!!!! .... So iHeard this deli was on the news!???? Anywho .... All this time I've been living here, we passed this place a million times. This bakery/deli is (Auther ave)little Italy all in one. Soon as you walk in, is like everyone knows each other (very homey feel) it has tables for you to seat and enjoy your food, the wait is a bit but is worth it. My First time there and obvious I'm not familiar with the menu so I ordered egg whites, Swiss, sundry tomatoes on wheat bread ( trying to keep the diet going) and it was Delicious, FANTASTIC, YUMMY , YUMMY. My fiance ordered a roast beef sandwich on a hero bread pressed (i think) (too busy focused on my food) that also looked tasty. Overall I'm was very satified with my order. Love how they have there own coffee cups. So we Ate, paid before leaving they recommended roast pork and broccoli robe so next time I return that's what I'll be ordering
